DR STEPHANIE FRYAR-WILLIAMS

Keynote speaker

Dr Stephanie Fryar-Williams MB BS BSc (Biochem/Pharmacol) FRANZCP, is a Child and Adolescent and Adult Neuro-psychiatrist who undertook the Mental Health Biomarker Project – stage 2. (2010-2017) as an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide and Director of Youth-In-Mind Research Institute, South Australia, via Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Health Research and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woodville South Australia.  ….Read More

CAROLYN LEDOWSKY

Carolyn Ledowsky has become the leader in the field of MTHFR and methylation in Australia. She founded MTHFR Support Australia with a goal to raising the awareness of how MTHFR genetic polymorphisms may affect health. This has lead to the existence of the largest MTHFR and methylation clinic in the world. Carolyn and her team of practitioners work with patients from all over the world. MTHFR Support Australia this year, launched its own brand of products dedicated to patients with MTHFR and methylation issues.  … Read More

DR BEN LYNCH

Dr. Ben Lynch received his Cell and Molecular Biology, BS from the University of Washington and his ND from Bastyr University. His passion for identifying the cause of disease directed him towards nutrigenomics and methylation dysfunction. Currently, he researches, writes and presents worldwide on the topic of MTHFR and methylation defects. He is the author of Dirty Genes. You may learn
more about Dr. Lynch and his work at www.drbenlynch.com.

DR PRATT-HYATT

Matthew Pratt-Hyatt received his PhD in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan. He has trained under Dr. Paul Hollenberg, a prominent researcher on drug metabolism and Dr. Curtis Klaassen, one of the world’s leading toxicologists. He has over a dozen publications in well-known research journals such as PNAS and Cell Metabolism. At The Great Plains Laboratory, he is focused on assisting with diagnosis and treatment of mitochondrial disorders, neurological diseases, chronic immune diseases, and more. His work is bringing new insight into how genes and toxicants interact and how that may lead to mental health disorders, chronic health issues, and metabolism disorders.

DR ANDREW ROSTENBERG

Andrew Rostenberg, DC, is a chiropractor, kinesiologist, functional medicine expert, methylation researcher, and director of Red Mountain Natural Medicine in Boise, ID. He has become a leading voice in the emerging field of functional medicine and genetics, raising awareness of how genetic variation impacts our health. In addition to running a busy practice, Dr. Rostenberg has developed cutting-edge protocols using methylation pathways designed to optimize biochemistry, detoxification, digestion, brain function and more.

DR CHRISTINE HOUGHTON

Following many years in private practice as a Clinical Nutritionist, Christine’s other interests led her to research the role of food-derived bioactives as potent nutrigenomically-active compounds. Her PhD thesis explores sulforaphane and other bioactive phytochemicals capable of favourably changing gene expression. The clinical importance of addressing upstream causes of disease remains her priority and her Australian company Cell-Logic provides clinical solutions based on these principles. …Read More

DR DETLEV BOISON

Having a passion for translational research and for finding cures for intractable conditions that cause human suffrage and death, I seek to translate fundamental mechanisms of biochemistry and energy homeostasis into novel therapeutic approaches for the treatment of neurological and psychiatric conditions and cancer. A major research effort is the development of therapies that restore the equilibrium of adenosine and associated epigenetic changes and thereby reset the ‘disease clock’. Read More

DR CARRIE JONES

Dr. Carrie Jones’ passion and expertise lies in the areas of hormonal, adrenal, and thyroid health. She recognises that imbalance can occur at any age and believes it is important to look at the big picture such as the appropriate use of lab testing. Dr. Jones graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon then went on to complete her residency in women’s health, endocrinology and hormones. Later she graduated from Grand Canyon University’s Master of Public Health program with a goal of doing more international work and health empowerment. Read More
