GoTo Troubleshooting for Clinic Patients

How can I join my appointment using GoTo video conferencing?

Web browser

Google Chrome

Microsoft Edge

Note: Safari and Mozilla Firefox are NOT compatible.

  1. Click on the link in your appointment confirmation and a new tab will open in your compatible internet browser.

iOS phone or tablet app

  1. Download the application.
  2. Click on the link in your appointment confirmation and it will open your application.

Android phone or tablet app

  1.  Download and open the application.
  2. Copy the link in your appointment confirmation email.
  3. Paste the link into the join meeting box and click join.

How can I join my appointment using my phone?

  1. Dial the phone number listed below the URL
  2. Enter the 9 digit access code followed by #
  3. Wait on the line until your practitioner joins.
    Note: the line will sound dead until your practitioner joins.

Troubleshooting: Audio and Video Not Working

I'm on a Windows Computer.

  1. Select the Windows menu > Settings > Privacy to open your Privacy preferences.
  2. Select Camera in the left toolbar (under "App permissions").
  3. Use the Allow apps to access your camera toggle switch to enable access to your camera.
  4. Scroll down and use the Allow desktop apps to access your camera toggle switch to enable GoTo or GoToMeeting access to your camera.
  5. Select Microphone in the left toolbar (under "App permissions").
  6. Use the toggle switch to enable access to your microphone.
  7. Scroll down and use the Allow desktop apps to access your camera toggle switch to enable GoTo or GoToMeeting access to your microphone.
  1. You will need to restart your browser or the desktop app for the permissions to take effect. The next time you join or host a session, you will be able to connect to your computer audio, share your camera, and screen share.

I'm on a Mac Computer.

  1. Select the Apple menu  > System Preferences to open your Mac Security & Privacy preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Select the Lock icon and enter your Mac credentials to make changes to your preferences.
  4. Select Microphone in the left menu and enable GoToMeeting or GoTo if using the desktop app and/or the browser if using the web.
  1. Select Camera in the left menu and enable GoToMeeting or GoTo if using the desktop app and/or the browser if using the web.

Troubleshooting: If GoToMeeting or GoTo is not listed under Camera, open your GoToMeeting preferences and select the Webcam tab. You'll be prompted to allow "GoToMeeting.app" access to the camera.

You will need to restart your browser or the desktop app for the permissions to take effect. The next time you join or host a session, you will be able to connect to your computer audio, share your camera, and screen share.
