Baby Support and
Child/Teenager Support

The questions many parents ask about their children:

  • Why does my child have such terrible behaviour?
  • Why does my child react so badly to stress and throw tantrums?
  • Why does he/she have learning difficulties?
  • Why does my child have such bad detoxification pathways?
  • Why is my child susceptible to colds and flu all the time?
  • Why is my child always sick?
  • Why is my child so allergic to foods?

These and many other questions are so relevant to children with disturbed methylation and MTHFR genetic issues. Methylation support can greatly improve allergies, immune function, brain function and the ability to deal with stress. Many of these children are put on pyrrole packs for indefinite amounts of time, but they act as a band aid and may reduce homocysteine levels way below that which is healthy, further affecting allergies and methylation.

We are the only clinic in Australia that has been addressing MTHFR and methylation for over 7 years. In that time, we have not only supported many couples through preconception and pregnancy but we are now seeing those babies and toddlers and supporting them through the early years and into school.

We also have practitioners that work with children with ADD, ADHD, oppositional defiance disorder and autism. These children need specialised methylation support to improve:

  • Learning
  • Memory
  • Behaviour
  • Detoxification
  • Sleep
  • Gut function
  • Food sensitivities

The issue of vaccination is also of special importance to parents of children with these issues and understanding how to support children and prepare them for school is of big concern. Carolyn has recorded webinars on this topic and interviewed Dr Paul Thomas who is a paediatric physician in the US and gives parents good strategies to prepare them for vaccinations and discusses the vaccines that may affect children with genetic susceptibilities.

Teenagers going through the stress of HSC with anxiety and/or depression also need tailored support. WE provide nutrients and environmental/lifestyle strategies to assist parents and teenagers to reduce stress and improve mood, behaviour and diet.
