Taking Vitamin B12 and folate significantly reduced serum homocysteine levels and took away the impact of the genes

New Research measured the association between MTHFR polymorphisms , MTRR A66G gene polymorphisms with high homocysteine and found that in those that had high homocysteine, taking Vitamin B12 and folate significantly reduced serum homocysteine levels and took away the impact of the genes.

Its an interesting study as we have always been told that A1298C polymorphisms done cause high homocysteine, but these researchers found that that it did (this was a Chinese population Study).

Its important therefore to regularly check homocysteine, Vitamin B12 and folate levels .
